Executive Committee (2006/2010)

The Executive Committee has the following duties and powers:

To execute the deliberations coming from other bodies of the School, and to take part in deliberations which have financial repercussions;
To propose the recruitment of members of staff for the School;
To propose the members of all juries for the recruitment of staff unconnected to scientific activities;
To propose the granting of leaves of absence, of treatment as scholar, and of sabbatical leave, according to the general regulations of the Academic Board;
To submit for approval the distribution of work for the teaching staff proposed by the Academic Board;
To allocate human and material resources to FEUP's organizational units;
To designate the persons in charge of FEUP Services;
To appoint permanent or temporary committees to promote cultural, recreational or sports activities, among others;
To promote FEUP's image and boost its relations with the outside world;
To ensure the dissemination of relevant and updated information about the Faculty.
